ADVOCATING FOR METCHOSIN
Addressing land use matters is central to the APRM's mission and purpose. We regularly provide input to Mayor and Council and other decision makers to better enable them to make decisions that support Metchosin's rural values.
The APRM also advocates for Metchosin's Official Community Plan (OCP). The OCP is a guide community decision making around land use. It clarifies the commitment to maintaining rural values and the natural environment (see section 2.2 of the OCP).

January 2021 - Letter to the Hon. Mitzi Dean regarding the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Victoria's subdivision application at 3900 Metchosin Rd.

March 2020 - Letter to the Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) on impacts to certain Agricultural Reserve Lands in Metchosin.

March 2020 - Formal complaint to the ALC regarding previous dumping on lands with ALR designation.
